Phillip Kirk (Fomp) Babin passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022. He was 65 years old. He was a native and resident of Gonzales. He is preceded in death by his father, John Mervin Babin, and mother, Julia Faye Dupuy. He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Elinor (Pug) Landry Babin, daughter Kristy Babin Schexnayder, son-in-law Matthew Ryan Schexnayder, and granddaughter Elinor Grace Schexnayder and grandson Jameson Kirk Schexnayder. He is also survived by his two sisters Lori Babin, Stephanie Babin Frederic, brother-in-law Tony Frederic, nephew Jon Marc Frederic, nieces Keri Frederic and Trinity Babin, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Phillip was the Director of St John’s Ushers and a member of St John's Knights of Columbus. In addition, Phillip and Pug were members of the Goldwing Motorcycle Club where they made lifetime friends.
Heartfelt gratitude is extended to all who visited, offered comfort, and sent food for the family. A special thank you goes to a family friend, Joanie Perez, who lovingly donated her time, energy, and love to care for Phillip (and Pug) during this difficult time.

Visitation will be on Saturday, July 9th, 2022, from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville. Interment will follow at Serenity Oaks Memorial Park.
