Ollie G. “Laddie” Elkins, Jr. was born on November 11, 1942, in Columbia, MS. He passed away peacefully at his home in Livingston, LA, on July 13th at 3:45pm. He was a lifetime member of A.B.A.T.E. of Louisiana and a spokesperson for I.N.C.O.M. He served in the United States Air Force and was a successful supervisor at TRIAD Chemical.
Visitation will be held at Ascension Funeral Home in Gonzales, LA, on Sunday, July 17th, from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm. A second visitation will be held at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia, MS, on Tuesday, July 19th from 5:00 pm until 8:00pm. Funeral Services will be held at Colonial Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 20th at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Nell Elkins and Ollie G. Elkins, Sr.; wife, Minnie B. Elkins; and 1 son, Randall S. Elkins.
He is survived by a brother, Wayne E. Elkins; long time partner, Barbara Sikes; 2 sons, Richard Elkins and his 2 sons Donald (Geneva) Elkins and Ronald (Elise) Elkins; Greg (Dawn) Elkins and his 2 sons, Shawn (Leslie) Elkins and Hunter Greer Elkins; 5 daughters, Angela (Kevin) Richard, Schwan Self, Missy (John) Hebert, Ruby (Dennis) Davis, and Pamela M. Bercegeay; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He will be remembered as a deeply involved and respected member of the motorcycle community.
