MAUDRY JEAN HOLTZ GALLOW

LAMARQUE TEXAS – Maudry Jean Holtz Gallow, 85, transitioned in Gonzales, Louisiana on March 19, 2022. A memorial service will be held in her honor Saturday, March 26, 2022, from 11:00a – 1:30p at the Cedar Drive Village Clubhouse at 1017 Cedar Dr. LaMarque, Texas 77568. All are welcome.

She was born in Galveston Texas in 1936 to Matthew Sr. and Bobbie Holtz. She attended Lincoln High School in LaMarque Texas. She then attended Prairie View A&M College for nursing. She was a giving and thoughtful nurse who touched many lives. Maudry was a faithful servant who brought joy to all with her frank and candid humor.

Maudry was predeceased by Matthew Sr. and Bobbie Holtz of LaMarque Texas (Parents), Moses Holtz and Matthew Holtz Jr. both of LaMarque, Texas (Brothers), Lena Wilson of LaMarque Texas (Sister) Madison Winston of Baton Rouge, Louisiana (Great-granddaughter), and Nolan Peacock of LaMarque, Texas (Close Friend).

Maudry is survived by Carolyn Holtz of Pearland, Texas (Sister-in-Law), Charles Davis-Smith of Richmond, Texas (Son), Patricia Iverson Winston Gayden of Gonzales, Louisiana (daughter), Grandchildren: Nikisha Winston Garrett (Keith) of Gonzales, Louisiana, Jerome Winston Jr. (Sabrina) of Austin, Texas, Brandon Davis of Inglewood, California and Patrick Austin Winston (Katy) of Gonzales, Louisiana. She also leaves behind nine great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family wishes to give a special acknowledgment to Michael “Bubba” Hinton (Cousin) for his assistance during Maudry’s time of need. We would also like to acknowledge neighbors Ms. Carolyn and Ms. Ethel and the management and staff of Cedar Drive Village Apartments for their assistance.

She will forever be in our hearts.
