Dorothy Villeneuve (Dot)

Dorothy Ann James Villeneuve (Dot), passed away on July 26, 2022, at the age of 82. She was born in Gonzales on August 15, 1939.

She was a faithful servant of Catholic Daughters, VFW, and the Alter Society of St. Mark Catholic Church.

She is survived by her son, Cairue (C.J.) Villeneuve (Lisa); daughter-in-law, Jan Villeneuve; daughters, Lisa Badame (Kevin), Dana Neusetzer (Willie), and Cindy Gautreau (Jaime); sister, Laura McCrory; niece Terri Norwood; godchild, Cathleen Melancon; 12 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 2 step-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Villeneuve, Sr.; parents, Octavie and Cairue James; sons, Larry Villeneuve, Jr., Ricky Villeneuve, and David Villeneuve; grandson, Kade Villeneuve; and 10 brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Ascension Funeral Home in Gonzales, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue Friday at St. Mark Catholic Church, from 10:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. A rosary will be recited on Friday at 9:15 am at the church. Burial will follow the mass at St. Theresa Catholic Church Cemetery.
