Zola Thomassie

A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, she was born Dec. 26, 1934. A resident of St. Amant, she died Friday, Oct. 1, 2010. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, New River Street, Gonzales, on Wednesday, Oct. 6, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A rosary will be said during visitation. Visiting at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Thursday from 8 a.m. until Mass at 10 a.m. Christian burial at Cornerview Cemetery. Survived and missed by her husband of 57 years, Milton J. Thomassie daughter and soninlaw, Laurie and Wade Thornton daughter, Nikki Thomassie daughterinlaw, Stephanie Marrero Thomassie grandchildren, Jeremy, Michelle and Shawn Thomassie, Adam, Sarah and Leah Thornton and Kaytee Aubin sister, Joyce Huguet and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her son, Johnny G. Thomassie grandson, Jason Thomassie sister, Rhonda Huguet sisterinlaw, Jeannette Silvio and brotherinlaw, Day Huguet Sr.
