Willie Adkins

Willie A. "Nana" Adkins, age 92, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at 4:00 a.m. at her home. A resident of Prairieville, LA and native of Davis, OK. A devoted Christian, she loved God, her family and her church. Visiting at Gonzales Church of Christ, 1225 S. Purpera Ave., Gonzales, LA on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 12:00 noon until service at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Minister James Eaves. Interment at Hope Haven Garden of Memory. Survived by her son, Donald Adkins and wife, Kathy; four daughters, Carol Mason and husband, Cliff, Linda Purcella, Sharon Dowden, and Connie Arceneaux; sister, Lola Peters; daughter-in-law, Mary Adkins; ten grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Adkins; four sisters; two brothers; two great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was a member of Gonzales Church of Christ. Pallbearers will be Taylor Dowden, Patrick Adkins, Dave Brady, Larry Freeman, Darren Purcella and Brandon Adkins. Ascension Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
