William “Bill” Harris Lott, age 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at his residence in Gonzales, LA. Bill was a lucky man because he thoroughly loved what he did for a living. He worked as a diesel mechanic for 40+ years with Boyce/Louisiana Machinery, making many friends and acquaintances all across the state. He served our country in the United States Air Force. Visitation will be at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home in Sumrall, MS from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Melba Baptist Church. He is survived by his two sons, William Dudley Lott and wife, Sonia, and Jeffrey Joseph Lott and wife, Faydrian; one brother, Jack Lott; six grandchildren, Kristina Carson, Aimee Perkins and husband, Blake, Spencer Lott and wife, Clarissa, Brandon Lott, Noah Lott, and Kaelyn Lott; and seven great-grandchildren, Toby, Bailey, Adalyn, Cayson, Anniston, Delphine, and Chloe.
