Virgie Delaune

Virgie Landry DeLaune, 87, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on August 3, 2013. She was a resident and native of Dutchtown, LA.Visiting at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville, LA on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Father Eric Gyan. Burial to follow at Prairieville Cemetery. Survived by her daughters and sonsinlaws: Elizabeth Betty and Myles Mire, Bonnie and Warren Dencausse, Beverly LaLonde, Barbara and Purvis Lessard, Brenda and Russ Bourgeois, Cynthia and Dale Arceneaux her brother, Herbert J. Landry 13 grandchildren 21 great grandchildren and 1 greatgreat grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Alton DeLaune daughter, Blanche Leveron 4 siblings: Odile Bourgeois, Francis Landry, Isabelle Braud and Evelyn Decoteau. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Warren Dencausse Jr., Wayne LaLonde Jr., Printice Dencausse, Corey LaLonde, Matthew Bourgeois, Jacob Leveron and Damon Arceneaux. She was a member of St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville, LA, St. John Evangelist Altar Society and the Prairieville Cemetery Association. The family would like to express its many thanks to St. Josephs Hospice for taking excellent and loving care of her.
