Virgie Mae Aydell Theresa Carmello


A native of French Settlement and resident of Gonzales, she died on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at her home. She was 72. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, on Friday, May 25, 2012 from 5 p.m. 9 p.m. Visiting continues on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church from 8 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery. Survivors include her loving husband of 32 years, Tebo Carmello, Sr. 2 daughters, Roxie Carson and husband Randy, Jeanna Lachelle Lessard Guerra and husband Bert Roy 4 sons, Travis Lessard, Joseph Stacey Lessard and wife Tammy, Robert Robbie Lessard, Chad Michael Lessard 3 sisters, Ethel Rea Lobell, Juanita Adkins and husband Douglas, Veronica Dugas 11 grandchildren 11 greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Preceded in death by her son, Tebo Carmello, Jr. 2 sisters: Alneatie Fontenot and Cathy Crain a brother, Edward Aydell. Special thanks to Dr. Brooks with Ochsner Medical Center and the staff of St. Joseph Hospice for all their care and support. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and going to garage sales.
