Vernon Mars

Vernon "Sonny Boy" Mars, age 84, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at 11:30 a.m. in Gulfport, MS. A resident of Gonzales, LA and native of Trinidad. He was a process operator. He lived most of his life in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Island, where he retired from Hess Oil and a former operator with BASF Wyandotte. He loved to play pool and cards. New River St., Gonzales, LA, on Sunday, September 13, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. until service at 2:00 p.m. Survived by his wife, Baby Mars; four daughters, Lisa Singh, Indra Marrero, Anitia Mars, and Alicia Mars and husband, Kevin Robinson Sr.; four sons, Ralph Mars and wife, Gisela, Linton Mars and wife, Angela, Andre Mars Sr., and Ronny Mars; one sister; four brothers; thirteen grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
