Verna S. Ambeau

Verna S. Ambeau, 96 years old, passed away in Gonzales on June 2, 2023. She was born on April 9, 1927, to the late Harry and Rena Smith.

She is survived by her son, Lou Ambeau (Beth); grandson, Kole Ambeau (Lauren); granddaughter, Kippy Ollendike (Erik); 3 great-grandchildren, Kade, Kyle, and Colin; brother, Jimmy Smith; and sisters, Ann McGowan and Ella Rose Berthelot. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Keith Ambeau; son, Johnny Ambeau; brother and sisters, Catherine Ficklin, E. D. Smith, Winnie Mae Brignac, Janet Amedee.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church in Gonzales, from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
