Travis Paul Templet passed away February 24, 2024, at the age of 44. He was born May 10,1979, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Travis is survived by his sons, Maverick Paul Templet, Maximus Joseph Templet, and his step-children, Makenzie Leigh Jones and Matthew Ryland Jones. He is also survived by his children’s mother Amber Hladky.

In addition, he is survived by his siblings, Beverly Templet, Irene Templet, Tawanah Duplessis Devillier, Ty (Brenda) Duplessis, Lucien (Cheryl) Templet, Jr., Elizabeth Templet, and Daphne Usagi Heseltine.

He is preceded in death by his father, Lucien Joseph Templet, Sr.; mother, Helen Poirrier Templet; brother, Don Duplessis; and his sister, Monique Duplessis Ory.

Travis was an avid music lover and a member of LSU Golden Band from Tigerland Drumline. He loved his LSU Tigers and enjoyed taking his family to games.

He supported his children in all of their activities, and loved them all very dearly.

Visitation at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, on Tuesday March 5, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with a service following at 1:00 pm.

Travis never liked funerals and always stated that he wanted his funeral to be a party. In honor of his request, we ask that everyone wear purple and gold.
