Sydney Brown

Sydney Ralls Brown (Ralls) died April 30, 2015. He was born June 23, 1951 in LaGrange, Georgia and a resident of Prairieville, Louisiana. He was the second child of Doris and James Brown. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Susan Cosper Brown; three children, Stephanie Brown Purdy and husband, Scott Purdy, Natalie Brown Vining, and Michael Brown; three granddaughters, Taylor Purdy, Alexandra Purdy, and Kori Vining; two grandsons, John-Michael Brown and Zachary Brown; brother, Leslie Brown and wife, Vivienne; sister-in-law, Kathy Oliver; brother-in-laws, Billy Cosper, Jr. and wife Becky, and Steve Cosper; nieces and nephews, Sean Brown, Robyn Hancock and husband Wayne, Brooke Oliver and Kristin Oliver; and mother-in-law, Patsy Cosper. He is preceded in death by his parents, Doris and James Brown; and father-in-law, Billy Cosper. Ralls worked at Turner Industries for 37 years. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Prairieville, Louisiana.
