Sybil Moore

A resident of Prairieville, LA and native of Duplessis, LA passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at Gonzales Health Care Center at the age of 86. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River Road, Gonzales, LA on Sunday, February 24, 2013 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Monday, February 25, at 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. Service following at First Baptist Church of Gonzales at 10:30 a.m. conducted by Rev. Brent Hill. Burial in Lake Cemetery, St. Amant, LA. Survived by four daughters and sonsinlaw: Dianna and Charles Rolls, Louise Gonzales, Shirley and Johnny Michel, and Linda Jerome four sons and daughtersinlaw: Earl and Sharon Moore, Ronald and Irene Moore, Perry and Carol Moore, Alton and Sylvia Moore one sister, Leona Beatty seventeen grandchildren twentytwo great grandchildren and five greatgreat grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Roy J. Moore parents, Paul and Virginia Duplessis two sons: Charles P. Moore and Alfred Moore baby sister, Evelyn Duplessis sister, Leona Babin four brothers: Joseph Rip, Jerome Joe, Carbert, and Russell Duplessis two grandchildren: Charles William C. W. Rolls and Angela Ordeneaux. Pallbearers are Richard Thomassie, Randy Crawford, Dewayne Jerome, Tyler Moore, Chance Anderson, and Dylan Forbes. Honorary pallbearers are Christopher Moore and Darrell Jerome. The family would like to thank the staff at Gonzales Health Care Center for the care given to Sybil.
