Steven Martinez

A truck driver and a resident of Gonzales, he died at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010. He was 48 and a native of Shreveport. Visiting at St. Mark Catholic Church, 42021 La. 621, Gonzales, on Monday, Oct. 25, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. He is survived by his mother, Antoinette Martinez grandmother, Pauline Martinez sisters, Kim Richey, Tanya DeVeer and husband Mike, and Missy Bush and husband Julius nephews, Yancy Hebert and wife Rolanda, Julius Bush and wife Jaime, Blake DeVeer, Trent and Trey Richey, Jacob Bush and two greatnieces, Madison and Jacie Hebert. He was preceded in death by his father, George Martinez Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Yancy Hebert, Julius Bush, Trent and Trey Richey, Blake DeVeer, Julius Bush III, Mike DeVeer and Jacob Bush. He graduated from East Ascension High School and loved horses.
