Sonja Berrones, age 55, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 8:30 a.m. in Destin, FL. A resident of Denham Springs, LA and native of Baton Rouge, LA. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Friday, July 24, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Survived by her mother, Betty “Nana” Mallory; her daughters, April Ancira and husband, Ambrocio Servin, and Betty Diaz and husband, Gustavo; son, Joshua Rabalais; sisters, Charlotte Guerrero, and Susan Thibodeaux; brother, Franklin Smith; former husband, Rene’ Rabalais; grandchildren, Dylan, Haley, Joshua, Travis, Nevaeh, Mariana, Miguel, Daytona, Maria, Romeo, Sebastian, Matthew, Zoey, JR, Emma, and Luna; and longtime friend, Mark Bricker.
