Shirley Guillory Stelly, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home in Geismar, LA, at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2016. She was 75 years old and a native of Bolton, LA. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA, on Sunday, October 23, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Visiting on Monday, at the funeral home, from 7:30 a.m. until dismissal at 9:20 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville, LA and will be celebrated by the Rev. Jerry Martin. Burial in Cornerview Cemetery. Survived by her husband, Howard J. Stelly Sr.; three sons, Howard J. Stelly Jr. and wife, Scarlet, Gerard P. Stelly and wife, Tonya, and John "Brent" Stelly; one brother, Virgil Guillory and wife, Monica; six grandchildren, Nicole Sutton and husband, Scott, Scotty James Stelly, Nicholas Wayne Stelly and wife, Megan, Justin Matthew Stelly, Addie Bledsoe and husband, Stuart, and Holly Stelly and fiance`, Ian Duhe'; and four great grandchildren, Laci Sutton, Brett Gomez, Amelia Stelly, and Elizabeth Bledsoe. Preceded in death by her parents, Remie and Ida Guillory. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Ladies Altar Society, and the COA (Council on Aging).
