Shari Melon

Shari R. Melon, a resident and native of Baton Rouge, LA passed away at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, at 7:44 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014. She was 23 years old. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St., Gonzales, LA on Monday, November 10, 2014, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes on Tuesday, from 8 a.m. until chapel service at 10 a.m. conducted by Rev. Ken Carroll. Cremation to take place after the service and a private inurnment will take place at a later date. Survived by her mother, Leilani L. Melon and second mother, Karen Hayden father, Kendall B. Poche maternal grandparents, Ronald G. Melon and Carol Orihula maternal grandparents, J. C. and Wanda Roberts maternal great grandmother, Marian Gautreaux paternal grandparents, Joseph Luke Jr. and Patsy Poche two sisters, Crytal Hayden and Stephanie Ford and husband, Kristafor one brother, Matthew Turner godson, Ethan Hayden godmother, Cheryl Landry and godfather, Wendall Gautreaux. Preceded in death by her maternal great grandfather, Herman Gautreaux maternal grandparents, Jewels and Ida Mae Melon and paternal grandmother, Dixie Poche.
