Sandra Castelo

A resident of St. Amant, she died on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Gonzales Health Care. She was 63. She proudly served her country during the Vietnam Era in the U.S. Army with twelve years of service. Visitation will be held at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St., Gonzales, on Thursday, September 24, 2009 from 5pm until 9pm. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7pm. Visitation will begin again on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at 9am. Father Rubin Reynolds will celebrate a memorial mass at 10am. Burial will follow in St. Peter Catholic Church in Reserve. She is survived by her daughter, Juana Castelo, sister, Debbie Becnel and her husband Michael and her brother, Donald R. Church, Jr. and his wife Norma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald R. Church, Sr. and Doris E. Hildago Church.
