Ruth Moran

A resident of Gonzales, she was called home on Tuesday, March 22, 2011. She was 88 and a loving and caring homemaker. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River Street, in Gonzales will be on Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 5 pm until 9 pm. Visiting at St. Mark Catholic Church will be on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 9:30 am until celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am. Entombment to follow in Hope Haven Cemetery on La. 30 in Gonzales. She is survived by one daughter, five sons, three sonsinlaw and four daughtersinlaw Peggy and Jimmy Womack, Perry and Arlene Moran, Mark Moran, Glenn and Pattie Moran, Jody and Penny Moran, Ted and Tracie Moran, Allard Bourgeois, Barney Gautreau four sisters, Gertie Moran, Leona Bourgeois, Rosemary Daigle and Cecilia Savoy 18 grandchildren, 33 greatgrandchildren, and 1 greatgreatgrandchild. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years Alex J. Moran her parents, Valentine and Cecile Babin daughters, Margie Bourgeois and Maggie Gautreau, and grandchild, Melissa Moran. Pallbearers will be Lonnie Gautreau, Mike Gautreau, Casey Moran, Josh Moran, Dexter Bourgeois, Scott Bourgeois and honorary pallbearer Tim Gautreau. She was a member of the St. Mark Ladies Alter Society and donated several hours assisting in the gift shop. She enjoyed working in her yard and had a passion for flowers and plants.
