Rose Burton Braud, age 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2025, at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice in Baton Rouge, LA at 5:02 a.m. She was born on March 24, 1935, in New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gonzales, LA. She was a housewife.

Visiting at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 44450 Hwy. 429, St. Amant, LA, on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Father Matthew Lorraine. Entombment will follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memory, 37577 Duplessis Rd., Prairieville, LA 70769.

Survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Janice "Jan" and Raymond Dupont, and Connie and Carl Mire; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Wanda Braud; five grandchildren, Chad and Erika Mire, Tonya and Michael Fellona, Cade and Lyric Dupont, Dustin and Hope Braud, Dylan and Dicksie Braud; and twelve great-grandchildren, Silas Mire, Kelan Dupont, Sophia Foret, Rosalyn Mire, Ella Fellona, Tripp Foret, Jewell Guillory, Avery Braud, Jonathan Fellona, Kynsley Dupont, Evan Braud, and Beau Braud; brother, Guy Burton; sister, Faye Dagoberg; sister-in-law, Veronica Burton; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

Preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd L. Braud; parents, Odile Bourgeois and George Thomas Burton, Sr.; five brothers, George Burton, Jr., Windom Burton, E. E. Burton, J. C. Burton and Alvin Burton.

Pallbearers are Chad Mire, Cade Dupont, Dustin Braud, Dylan Braud, Jared Rickels, and Denny Jones; and honorary pallbearer, Eddie Morgan. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Please visit the online guestbook.
