Rose Babin

Rose Mary "Achord" Babin, passed away peacefully at the age of 81, on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at her daughter's home, at 11:12 p.m. A resident of St. Amant, LA and native of Gonzales, LA. Visiting at St. Mark Catholic Church, 42021 Hwy. 621, Gonzales, LA on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Rev. Rubin Reynolds. Burial at Hope Haven Garden of Memory, Gonzales. She is survived by her three daughters, Gail and Mikel Michel Jr., Sharla and John Shelton, and Tori and Gary Evans; three sons, Gerald J. Jr. and Audrey Babin, Travis J. Babin, and Lonnie P. Babin; sister, Vera Melancon; brother, Jim Achord; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Gerald J. Babin Sr.; parents, Lorwin and Blanche Achord; daughter, Lorrita McKinney; son, Wade Babin; and brother, David Achord.
