Roger Bourque, Sr.

On April 27th, 2022, at 2:00 am, Roger J. Bourque, was tragically killed in a fatal accident near Snyder Rd. in St. Amant, LA. Roger was 64 years old and a native of Gonzales, LA.  He is the son of Mary T. Bourque and Leslie “Red” Bourque. He was an avid race car enthusiast and driver of his own 1988 Chevy S-10 truck. Friday nights at State Capital Raceway, you would find Roger. He was a proud first-time grandfather to Jessie Grantham, and daughter to Rani Grantham. Roger is survived by his wife, Julie W. Bourque, a stepson, Johnathon Westbrook, a daughter, Rani Grantham, a brother, Michael J. Tortorich, and a sister, Frankie Tortorich. Visitation will be Friday, May 6th, 2022, at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA, from 4:30 pm until the memorial service at 6:30 pm in the funeral home chapel.
