Rodney Fontenot

A resident of Maurepas, he died late Wednesday, April 8, 2009 he was just shy of his 43rd birthday. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Maurepas Baptist Church, 24323 Hwy 22, from 9am until 1pm. Dr. Glynn Reine will conduct funeral services at 1pm. As per his wishes, cremation will follow. He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Coats Fontenot, adopted mother, Ella Mae Fontenot, birth mother, Lucille Stewart, daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Jamie Garcia, step-son, C.J. Coats, brother, Darrell Parent and twin granddaughters, Adrianna and Johanna Garcia. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbert Fontenot and grandparents, Margaret and Paul Fontenot. Pallbearers will be; Joshua Sellers, Shane Fontenot, C.J. Coats, Darrell Parent and Jessie Dedon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
