Rex Williams, Sr.

WILLIAMS, SR. REX A

A resident and native of Ascension Parish, he died on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Regency Place Nursing Home in Baton Rouge. He was 82 and a retired electrician from IBEW, Local 995. Visiting on Friday, March 7, 2008 from 5 pm until 9pm at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St., Gonzales. Visitation Saturday will be held at Faithful United Methodist Church, Hwy 431 from 8:30am until religious services at 10am. Burial will follow in the Faithful United Cemetery. He is survived by; one daughter, Amanda R. Williams, four sons; Ted D., Hollis LaRue, Rex Andy, Jr., and Grant B. Williams, four brothers: Carter, Glen, Carl and Gene Williams, three sisters; Woody Ferguson, Melissie Marson and Zemly Clouatre, eleven grandchildren; Tristan Trigg Williams, Sal, Branton, Ethan and Megan E. Williams, Brandy and Rene Gros, Ashley G. Brown, Brittany McCarty and Tony Thibodeaux, four great-grandchildren and a special friend, Leona Hoffman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grant and Lula Williams, his wife, Mary Elizabeth Williams and two brothers, Long and Comer Williams. For I reckon that the suffering at this present time is not worthy to be compared to the glory which shall be revealed in us. Romans 8:18
