Ramiro delaTorre, age 86, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015, at 11:11 p.m. at his home. A native of Guadalajara, Mexico and resident of Darrow, LA. He was retired from Gulf Coast Galvanizing. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until service at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Deacon Brent Duplessis. Entombment at Hope Haven Garden of Memory Mausoleum. Survived by his wife, Rita "Nany" delaTorre; four sisters, Baudelia, Carmen, Elana and Virginia and their families; two brothers, Mario and Pablo and their families; sisters-in-law, Edna Sheets, Ella Dee Chauvin, Mary Chauvin, Melanie Hughes, Christie Barclay, Melinda Powers and their families; brothers-in-law, John Haydel, Donnie Haydel, Dickie Haydel, Mark Haydel, Peddie Haydel and their families; and special friends, Marilyn, John, and Pat Truiel and Elvina and Luke Jeffers. Preceded in death by his parents, Pablo Sr. and Carmen delaTorre; brother, Victor; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dixon and Rita Haydel; and sister-in-law, Madeline Duhe`.
