Survived by his parents, Cody Ernest and Makailah Yates; maternal grandfather, Donald Yates; maternal great grandfather, Johnny Nickens and wife, Shirley; paternal grandparents, Jonathan and Suzanne Ernest; paternal great grandmother, Evelyn Sing and husband, Steve; sister, Macklyn Ernest; and godparents, Kaleigh Yates, Cyle Martin, Kristy Causey, and Nick Chifici.
