Rachel Bourque

Rachel J. Bourque, age 95, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at 10:35 p.m. at Heritage House of Baton Rouge. A resident of St. Amant, LA and co-owner of Bourque Greenhouses. Visiting on Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant, LA from 10:00 a.m. until service at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Deacon Stephen Gonzales. Entombment in the church mausoleum. Survived by three nieces, Katie Tullier, Fran Nolen and husband, Barry, and Connie Summers and husband, Bill; and her great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Irah Bourque; sister, Sue "Sis" Lee; and brother, Elvin Johnson. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She enjoyed doing volunteer work at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Family would like to thank the staff at Heritage House of Baton Rouge for the care given to her at this difficult time.
