Oscar Frederic

Oscar J. "Rocky" Frederic, age 82, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at 3:00 a.m. at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice in Baton Rouge, LA. A native of St. Amant, LA and resident of Gonzales, LA. He was retired from Ormet Corporation. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until memorial service at 12:00 noon conducted by Pastor Billy Minyard. Inurnment at Hope Haven Garden of Memory, Gonzales. Survived by his step daughter, Francesann Farmer and husband, Joseph; three step sons, Joseph Harris and wife, Terri, Lawrence "Larry" Harris and wife, Cynthia, and Robert A. Pitre; brother, Paul Frederic and wife, Jane; two nephews, Archie Molliere and Rudy Molliere; and nine grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Frederic; and his mother, Frances Eve Frederic. He was a member of the Gonzales Boat Club. Please visit the online guestbook.
