Oren Mire

Oren Mire, age 86, passed away on Friday, October, 7, 2016, at 12:16 p.m. at Post Acute Medical Specialty Hospital of Lafayette in Lafayette, LA. A former resident of Port Sulphur, LA and Prairieville, LA, resident of Church Point, LA and native of Richard, LA. He was a retired heavy equipment operator with AGRICO Uncle Sam. He loved to dance, hunt, fish, and cook. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA, on Monday, October 10, 2016, from 8:00 a.m. until funeral service at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Rev. Jerry Martin and committal service by Deacon Randy Clement. Interment in Hope Haven Garden of Memory, Prairieville, LA. Survived by his son, Kurt Mire and wife, Sheree; daughter, Faye Blanchard and husband, Kirk; and five grandchildren, Tyson Mire, Kallie Blanchard, Micha Ballow, Chanie Mire, and Madison Mire.
