Nancy Major

Nancy Berthelot Major, age 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales, LA. A resident of Gonzales, LA and native of Whitehall, LA. She loved playing cards with her many dear friends and relatives and going to the casino. Visiting at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 15208 Hwy. 73, Prairieville, LA on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 3:00 p.m. conducted by Father Jerry Martin. Entombment in Hope Haven Garden of Memory, Prairieville, LA. Survived by her many nieces and great nieces; nephews and great nephews; several half-brothers and sisters; and a host of other family members. Preceded in death by her husband, Edgar "Junior" Major; parents, Leo and Mary Berthelot; three sisters, Ida Guitreau, Louvella Cordilla, and Mary Trabeau; three brothers, Herman Berthelot, J.O. Berthelot, and Leo Berthelot; and half-brothers. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital for their care and support.
