Murphy George King, 76, passed away at 3:01 pm on Monday, December 19, 2016 at OLOL in Baton Rouge, LA, surrounded by family and friends. George was a native and resident of Saint Gabriel, LA. Visitation will be at Saint Gabriel Catholic Church, 3625 Highway 75, Saint Gabriel, LA 70776, Father Charlie Landry will officiate, on Wednesday December 21, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Family visitation is from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. George worked at L.S.U. Agriculture Center for 36 years. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army. George is survived by his wife of 47 years, Hazel Elliott King; daughter, Malynda King; son, Dwayne King; grandson, Westley King; granddaughter, Makayla King Louque; great grandson, Dominick Louque; brother, Charlie King; and sisters, Gladys Gilmore, Beatrice Albarado; Inez Tircuit, Patsy Garcia and Ruthie Landry. He was preceded in death by his father, Murphy John King, mother, Hernilda King, and sister, Mary Matson. Pallbearers will be Dwayne King, Westley King, Danny Tircuit, Darwin Haydel, Jonathan Landry and Mark King. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
