Mervin P. Young, Sr.

Mervin P. Young, Sr., passed away on September 3, 2023, in Baton Rouge. He was born on August 21, 1928, in Sorrento, LA.

He served our country for 30 years in the United States Air Force.

Mr. Young is survived by his children from his first wife, Evelyn Ann Cambre: their 4 children are Milinda Dixon, Kathy Dunaway, Mervin Young, Jr., and Kenny Young; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at St. Mark Catholic Church, in Gonzales from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in the church. Burial will follow at Hope Haven Cemetery Mausoleum in Prairieville.
