Mason Pusey

Mason Jacob Pusey, age 17, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at 1:29 a.m. in Ascension Parish. A resident of St. Amant, LA and native of La Place, LA. He was a 2020 graduate of St. Amant High School. He was a freshman at L.S.U. and a member of the L.S.U. Tiger Band. He was in the Boy Scouts of America and was working toward being an Eagle Scout. He was an altar server at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in La Place, LA. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 44450 Hwy. 429, St. Amant, LA, at 11:00 a.m. celebrated by Father Joshua Johnson and Father Garrett O'Brian. Interment in the church cemetery. Survived by his mother and stepfather, Michelle Landry Joanos and Angelo Joanos; father, Michael J. Pusey; grandparents, Taft and Tassy Donaldson, Mickey and Linda Landry, and Wendy and Tracy Smith; great grandparents, Henry and Marsha Stein, Beverly Oubre, Al and Charlotte Pusey, and Nancy Smith; brothers, Jayden Landry, Avery Joanos, and Adrian Joanos; uncles, Bobby, Trace, and Brett; and aunts, Lillie, Ashley, and Megan.
