Mary Richburg

A native of Walnut Grove, Etowah County, Alabama and resident of Gonzales, LA, she died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at the age of 93 at Baton Rouge General Hospital. She was born to her parents, David Dink Robinson and Annie Mable Brasseale Robinson. She is survived by her cousin, Cora C. Gamblin of Guntersville, Alabama and long time friends, Gloria Larks, Louis Hammond, and Naomi Lantry, all of Gonzales. Mary Sue was an accomplished artist and poet of considerable talent and won awards for her work. People who knew Mary Sue knew her devoted love of animals. She was always picking up a poor stray kitty or puppy and taking it home to live with all her other babies. As per her wishes, Mary Sue was cremated and no visitation or memorial service is planned.
