Mary Caroline Legere Ott

Mary Caroline Legere Ott was born July 29, 1935 in Port Elgin, New Brunswick, Canada, and lived in Baton Rouge, LA until she left this world and was welcomed in to the waiting arms of her Jesus on the evening of September 11, 2024 at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her parents Alyre and Clarice Legere, her four siblings, and by her daughters Janice and Laura Ott. She is survived by her three children, Holly Hilderbrand, Carolyn Richards and Mark Ott. She leaves behind four Grandchildren: Jennifer Richards, Jill Swaggart and husband Gabriel, Francesca Hilderbrand, Jackson Ott, and four beautiful Great-Granddaughters: Samantha Swaggart, Abby Swaggart, Caroline Swaggart and Mackenzie Swaggart, as well as loving nieces and nephews.

Growing up in Canada, Caroline was an avid ice skater, hockey and basketball player, and loved the outdoors, mountains and beach alike. She loved to watch sports of all kinds, especially baseball, basketball, and LSU football. Caroline was retired from BellSouth/AT&T where she worked as a Draftsman Engineer for 35 years, and continued work for many years for Liz Claiborne and Givenchy fragrance companies. A lifetime member of Family Worship Center-Jimmy Swaggart Ministries, Caroline was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral services will be held on Monday September 23, 2024, at Resthaven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge, LA. Service will begin at 10:00 AM in the "Chapel of Eternal Faith". Friends and relatives are hereby invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the SonLife Broadcasting Network, www.sonlifetv.com, in memory of Caroline Ott.
