Mary Frances Mire, age 77, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales, LA. A resident of Gonzales, LA and native of Lubbock, TX. She was a retired seamstress. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Thursday, September 25, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until service at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Pastor Malcolm Richard. Entombment at Hope Haven Gardens of Memory, Gonzales, LA. Survived by three daughters: Faye and husband, Mark Whiteside, Cindy Mire, Frances and husband, Gerald Shaffett two sons: Oscar J. Jr. and wife, Linda Mire and Joseph E. and wife, Alicia Mire four sisters: Sheila Williams, Linda Roberts, Darlene Lee, and Faye Furlow thirteen grandchildren and thirteen greatgrandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Oscar J. Mire Sr. her parents, Claude and Lusendia Booth sisters: Bobbie Ground, Jimmie Lou, and Zelma Stine and three brothers: Eugene, Lavon, and Larry Booth. Pallbearers: Joseph Mire, Mark Whiteside, Bryan Zito, Micha Mire, Neal Mire, and Dean Mire.
