Mary Himel

Mary Ann Himel, age 81, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at 7:00 a.m. A resident and native of Gonzales, LA. Visiting at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, 1022 N. Burnside Ave., Gonzales, on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Eric V. Gyan. Burial in St. Theresa Church cemetery. Survived by her four sons, Jerry P. Himel and wife, Cheryl, Mark J. Himel and friend, Connie Broussard, David J. Himel and wife, Mona, and Brad J. Himel and son, Brennan; daughter, Karen; two sisters, Hattie Belle Moran and Gracie LeBlanc; brother, Troy Bourgeois; twelve grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Benny Himel; parents, A. Paul and Bernadette Luse Bourgeois; brother, Allen Bourgeois; and two grandchildren, Paul Himel and Stephanie Barlow. She was a member of and attended St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church. Family would like to thank her caregivers, Tammy Lessard and Jackie Brignac, for the care given to Mrs. Himel.
