Marguerite Himel

A retired teacher, she died Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010 at her residence in Gonzales. She was 94 and a native of Sorrento. Visiting at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, 1022 N. Burnside Ave., in Gonzales, on Tuesday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Belsome, celebrant. Entombment in Hope Haven Cemetery, La. 30. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Seitz and husband Canton, and Carlene Himel and a grandchild. Preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Noelie Chauvin Himel and a loving husband, Dr. Carl H. Himel. She was an active member of St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church and a lifetime member of the Catholic Daughters. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to a charity of choice.
