Margaret Firmin

Margaret Marchese Firmin, a native of Independence and a resident of Gonzales, La, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2014 at the age of 72. Margaret retired as a school bus driver for St. John the Baptist Parish School System. She is survived by one daughter, Sheree Firmin Rome three sons, Craig R. Firmin and wife Jill, Danny R. Firmin and wife Michelle, and Barry L. Firmin and wife Wendy two sisters, Agnes Couvillion and Donna Marchese one brother, Frank Marchese, Jr. and 12 grandchildren, Joey, Paris, Walker, Taylor, Victoria, Cameron, Danny Jr., Rhett, Mya, Austin, Sean, and Hollie. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Firmin and parents, Frank and Lena Marchese. Margaret was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville, La. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2014 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am.
