Marcelle Brou Woosley

With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of our cherished grandmother and aunt, Marcelle Brou Woosley. Marcelle was humble and kind, whose generosity touched countless lives. Through her charitable works and compassionate spirit, she left a lasting impact on all who were fortunate to know her. She was a strong and influential woman who inspired and taught her family and friends so much about her Catholic faith. She was a daily Mass attendee for over 90 years.

Marcelle is preceded in death by her parents, Marcel Brou and Aline Brou, and her beloved son, Michael Woosley, her sisters, Audrey and husband Irwin Waggenspack and Rowena and husband Robert A. McClelland. She is survived by her grandchildren, Christopher Woosley and Nikol Markert and husband Mike Markert, her great-grandchildren, Madeline and Grayson Markert; her daughter-in-law, Cathy Woosley; her nephews, Scott McClelland and wife Betty, Robert McClelland and wife Patti, Neal McClelland and wife Leah, and her niece, Mary Elizabeth Murrell and husband Harold.

Marcelle will be remembered for her generosity, compassion, and strength, qualities that made her beloved by all who knew her. We honor her remarkable life and the enduring love she shared with her family and friends.

Though she will be deeply missed, Marcelle's spirit will continue to inspire and guide us each day. May she rest in peace.

Funeral services celebrating Marcelle's life will be held at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church in Gonzales, LA, on May 16. The Rosary will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by Mass at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Ascension of Our Lord Mausoleum in Donaldsonville, LA
