Malcolm “Mack” A. Lee, 72, of Sorrento, La., and a resident of Pierre Part, La., passed away on May 9, 2026. Mack was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and cherished friend to many.
Mack worked as a pipefitter for many years across multiple companies, forming lasting friendships along the way. An avid outdoorsman, he spent time in nature; trapping, hunting, fishing, setting bush lines for turtles, and setting crawfish and crab traps. He was a lifelong member of McElroy Hunting Club.
Mack enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking great meals, and relaxing around a fire.
One of his great joys was being called Pawpaw. Whether sitting beside him in his rocking chair, or finding ice cream in his freezer, his grandchildren will forever cherish the comfort of his presence and the steady love he showed.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Sheila B. Lee, his sons, M. Duane Lee (Susi), Tyson Lee, stepsons, Donald Elkins (Geneva), Ronald Elkins (Elise), brother, Rickey Lee (Johanna), sisters, Victoria “Vicky” Daigle (Coy), Mona Kirsch, half-sisters, Carol Moore (Perry), Terral “Sudie” Rushing (Andy), Emma LeBourgeois (Darren), Mary Nickens (Darren), half-brothers, Louis “Manny” Lee Jr. (Elizabeth), Charles Lee (DeAnna), grandchildren, Delayne Tippit (Micah), Brayli Lee, Brooke Ella Lee, and Victoria Lee, step grandchildren, Orin, Lyla, Melanie, Dwayne, and Connor Elkins, great granddaughter Catherine Tippit, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mack is preceded in death by his parents, Louis “Man” Lee, Sr. and Lorita Acosta Lee, his daughter-in-law, Tracy Lee, his grandson, Christopher Lee, stepmom, Doris Daily Lee Matherne, and his half-sister, Florence Lee.
Pallbearers will be Clint Rushing, Louis Lee Jr., Charles Lee, Frank Wells, Micah Tippit, Donald Elkins, and Ronald Elkins.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 15710 LA-16, French Settlement, LA 70733, on Thursday, May 14, 2026, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 12 p.m. officiated by Reverend Jason Palermo. Burial to be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
