Mabel Hidalgo

Mabel Laiche Hidalgo, age 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 11:15 p.m. at Chateau St. James Rehab and Retirement Center in Lutcher, LA. A resident of Gonzales, LA and native of Paulina, LA. She retired from National Food Store. Visiting at St. Mark Catholic Church, 42021 Hwy. 621, Gonzales, LA on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial at Hope Haven Garden of Memory, Gonzales, LA. Survived by her daughters, Martha Gaudin and husband, Ronald and Carolyn Martin and husband, Grant; sons, Jules Hidalgo Jr. and E.J. Hidalgo and wife, Jill; daughter-in-law, Dottie Hidalgo; eleven grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Elie and Caroline Laiche; two sons, Martin G. Hidalgo and Louis P. Hidalgo; sister, Rita L. Roussel; and grandson, Randall Kevin Hidalgo. She was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church, Ladies Altar Society, and the Catholic Daughters. Special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice Carpenter House in Baton Rouge for their care and concern.
