Lynn Joseph Brouillette, a native of Simmesport, LA and resident of Prairieville, LA. Lynn passed away peacefully at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge on February 22, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. He was 66 years old. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Era. Retired as a foreman for Command Services, an industrial painting company. Survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Mary Ann Wilson Brouillette; daughter, Amanda Lynn Brouillette Secrest and husband, Jessie James Secrest; brothers, Gaylord Brouillette, Michael Brouillette and Stacey Brouillette; and sisters, Rene` Brouillette Anderson and husband, Douglas Anderson and Tammy Brouillette Dyer and husband, Joey Dyer. Preceded in death by his father, Linscome Brouillette; mother, Grace Brouillette; brothers, Mark, Kenneth, and Dewayne Brouillette; and sister, Sherry Brouillette Handley. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Thursday, February 25, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Visiting on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until funeral service at 10:00 a.m. conducted by Rev. Jim May. Burial at Bellevue Memorial Park, 4833 Hwy. 182 S., Opelousas, LA at 2:30 p.m. Lynn was a wonderful husband and father and a very committed member and trustee of Victory Temple Church.
