Lydia Caillouet

A resident of Prairieville, and native of El Paso, TX, she died early Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 64 and worked as a cashier at the Gonzales Walmart. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St., Gonzales, beginning at 10am. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 12:30pm. A graveside service will be at 2pm in Greenoaks Memorial Park, Baton Rouge. She is survived by her son, Sidney Caillouet and his fianc Shelly Fitzgerald of Austin; her companion of twenty-seven years, Mike Oatman, three sisters; Irene Estep, Christine Velasquez and Maria Mejia and a brother, Jesus Chuy Velasquez. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Maria Velasquez, her husband, Sidney Caillouet,Sr. and her sister, Dora Carrillo.
