Louise Alexander

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. Psalm 23:1. Louise Laura Alexander was born Dec. 29, 1914, to the parentage of Rosa Bel Acy Alexander and Grant Alexander. Louise, 96, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2011, in Brittany. She was a member of St. Annes Catholic Church, Sorrento. Visitation at St. Annes Catholic Church, 7356 Main St., on Tuesday, May 31, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Michael Galea, celebrant. Interment in Hope Haven Gardens of Memory, Gonzales. Louise attended school and graduated and furthered her education by attending different colleges and earning masters degrees in education and finance. She coached basketball at St. Amant School and later went to work for the Pennoil Corp. where she retired with 46 years as a financial secretary. Louise leaves to cherish her memory a nephew, Gary Alexander, of Sulphur sister, Audrey Totsie Alexander, of Boutte friends, Chuck and wife Jane Gassard, of Brittany, and Lynn Hall Cardinal Hospice employees, Charlotte Demery and Wanda Mathews her caregivers and precious girls who loved her very much, Rebecca, Theresa and Mary and all her nieces, nephews and friends at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Sorrento.
