Louis Leg Mathew Templet Sr.
A native of Chinchuba, LA and a resident of St. Amant, LA. Louis passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the age of 87. He was a retired carpenter.
Survived by his daughter, Geraldine Deanie Templet sons Louis Tony and Frances Templet and Vernon and Arlette Templet and a very special daughter in law Barbara Lambert Templet. 18 grandchildren, 43 greatgrandchildren and 4 greatgreat grandchildren. Sisters Lois Rouyea, Doris Moragne, Linda and Danny Bargas Brothers Ancil TYank and Janette Templet, Doyle and Margie Templet, Leon Templet, Charles Charlie T Templet. Sister in law Yvonne Templet. Louis was preceded in death by his loving wife, Vernell Nellie Babin Templet, parents Ovide Shanoon and Elpha Templet, daughter Barbara Ann LeBlanc Johnson, son Terry Paul Templet, granddaughter Lacee Rae LeBlanc, brothers Leo Yogi, Lawrence Bib and his best pal Lucien John Twink Templet, and mother and father in law, George and Bertha Parent Babin. Visiting will be at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Friday Oct. 3, 2014 from 5pm to 8pm. On Saturday, at the funeral home from 8am until 10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church conducted by the Rev. Michael Galea. Entombment in the church mausoleum. Pallbearers are Randy LeBlanc, Jeremy Templet, Quincy Templet, Scott Pape, Blair Gautreaux, Zackry Gautreaux, Bodhi Moreland, Alex Templet. Honorary pallbearers are Tony John Templet and Brayden Bourgeois. The family would like to thank St. Elizabeth Hospital, Hospice Compassus, and the staff at Gonzales Health Care.
