Lloyd L. Braud, age 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice in Baton Rouge, LA at 10:11 a.m. He was born on August 3, 1931 in St. Amant, LA and a resident of Gonzales, LA. He was a retired ironworker with the Ironworkers Local Union 623. Visiting at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 44450 Hwy. 429, St. Amant, LA, on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Father Joshua Johnson. Entombment at Hope Haven Garden of Memory, Prairieville, LA. Survived by his wife, Rose Braud; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janice "Jan" and Raymond Dupont, and Connie and Carl Mire; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Wanda Braud; five grandchildren, Chad and Erika Mire, Tonya and Michael Fellona, Cade and Jordan Dupont, Dustin and Hope Braud, Dylan Braud and fiancee`, Dicksie Beattie; and nine great grandchildren, Silas Mire, Kelan Dupont, Rosalyn Mire, Ella Fellona, Jewell Beattie, Avery Braud, Jonathan Fellona, Kynsley Dupont, and Evan Braud. Preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Laura Braud; four sisters, Beryl Bourgeois, Elsie Morgan, Vivian Taffaro, and Eldred Bertucci; and four brothers, Lyle Braud, Arnold Braud, Van Braud, and Leo Braud. Pallbearers are Chad Mire, Cade Dupont, Dustin Braud, Dylan Braud, Mark Burton, and Denny Jones; and honorary pallbearer, Eddie Morgan.
