It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lia Grace Quintana, a bright and beloved young soul, who left us far too soon at the age of 14.
It is impossible to fully capture Lia’s spirit in just a few paragraphs. She was a gifted artist whose creativity seemed to flow effortlessly onto every page she touched. Those who saw her work recognized a natural gift. Her art reflected a vivid imagination and a unique way of seeing the world.
Lia was a free spirit. She loved her friends and family and packed a lifetime of memories into her 14 years. She had a natural way of filling a room with laughter. Her bold and vibrant personality, infectious laughter, and strong will remain a bright light for all who knew her.
We will remember Lia for the big, beautiful, creative, and compassionate life she lived, and the love she gave so freely.
She was a daughter, a sister, a cousin, a friend, and a light in many lives. Her absence leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved her.
Lia is survived by her mother, Brenda, and her twin brother, Max Quintana, of Kenner, LA. She is also survived by her father, Jorge Quintana, of Metairie, LA.
Lia’s family and classmates gathered a few days after her passing at City Park in New Orleans to share memories and say goodbye. A private burial will be held.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to offer support may contact the family for more information.
