Leonce Joseph Bourgeois

Leonce Joseph Bourgeois retired from Gillis W. Long Hansens Disease Center with 40 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. A resident and native of St. Amant, LA. He died at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Gonzales Healthcare Center. He was 84. Visiting at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant, LA on Friday, January 18, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial, at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Father Jon Koehler. Entombment in Holy Rosary Mausoleum. He is survived by his daughter, Darlene Bourgeois soninlaw, Leroy J. Lambert Sr. two granddaughters and their husbands, Tammy and Stan Cain and Tanya and Scotty Labauve a grandson, Lee J. Lambert Jr. five great grandchildren, Auburn and Erin Cain Karli, Kendall and Trey Labauve a sister, Ann Carbo and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Addie Duplessis Bourgeois his parents Arthur and Ida Lanoux Bourgeois and a brother, Francis J. Bourgeois. Pallbearers will be Lee J. Lambert Jr. Scotty and Trey Labauve Austin, Dale and Dennis Carbo. Honorary Pallbearers are Tyler Garza Pamela and Seth Carbo. Special thanks to all his caregivers at Gonzales Heathcare Center Hospice caregivers of SouthernCare, Inc. and his doctors, Dr. Narra and Dr. Rovira. Ascension Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
